It is located in a conservation area within a private garden, adjacent to a stream and open countryside. It is ideally sited for touring all the local attractions such as Potterne's 13th century church, historic pub, walking areas and the stone circles at Avebury and Stonehenge. Ideally situated for the following attractions: Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles (World Heritage Sites) Historic market towns of Devizes, Marlborough and Bradford-on-Avon Caen Hill locks, chalk white horses, Longleat House and Stourhead landscape gardens Medieval City of Salisbury and the Georgian City of Bath (World Heritage Site) THE AREA We are close to the Kennet & Avon Canal with its stunning Cean Hill flight of locks. You can explore the ancient cities of Salisbury and Bath or our local historic medieval towns of Devizes and Marlborough. The cottage is in the centre of the Wiltshire countryside where you can have a short stroll or a long hike through the woods and pastures. The cottage itself is historic, being a 17th century converted stable with exposed oak beams. It is pleasantly decorated and furnished with a well-equiped kitchen. Nearest pub, restaurant and shop 1/4 mile. Nearest supermarket 2 miles. ACCOMMODATION Lounge, kitchen/dining-room, 1 double bedroom, shower room with toilet. All fuel is included, electric cooking, fridge, microwave, digital colour TV, DVD player, wireless internet, CD radio cassette, electric heaters, duvets, shared garden with garden furniture.
