KINGFISHER AND HERON Lodges : Farm Holidays

	Rendells Farm is overlooked by some of the most beautiful downland in the West Country, classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It sits in it’s own 10 acres of flat, level ground overlooked by distant hills and yet is only 8 miles from the historic market town of Marlborough with its unusually wide high street which dates back to 1214 ad. Magna Carta. Devizes, another old market town is only 6 miles drive away. Both towns have large supermarkets as well as smaller, more interesting little shops. Both have markets weekly, and welcoming tea rooms, coffee shops and pubs. Kingfisher and Heron offer beautiful views of our Lakes. They are identical and both have 3 bedrooms, sleeping six people in each Lodge. There are two bathrooms and open plan living compliments the views afforded from double French doors opening onto the veranda. One double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with wc, sink, mirror and shaving point. The beds are king size and the rooms have a large wardrobe with storage, bed side tables, a chest of drawers, lamps and rugs. There is a family bathroom with full size bath and shower, a sink and wc with mirror and shaving point. The second double has a king size bed, chest of drawers, bed side table, lamps and rugs. The third bedroom has adult size bunk beds, wardrobes, drawers and lamps and rugs. The living area is all open plan; the kitchen being fitted with modern Shaker-style units . There is a full size oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave oven, toaster and all the crockery and utensils you would need for a comfortable stay. We also provide an iron, ironing board and clothes airer. There is an extending dining table and six chairs where you can sit and enjoy views to our Lakes and the hills beyond. The lounge area has comfortable sofas and chairs with lamps, coffee tables and rugs. There is a wall mounted flat screen digital TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Outside there is a laundry room where a washing machine and tumbler dryer are located for your use. There is also a small fridge for storing bait for the anglers. There is side access via a ramp into a boot-room/hallway area. Car parking is at the rear of each Lodge. The only steps at the Lodges are up onto the veranda and the whole of Rendells Farm is situated on level ground with easy access to the top Lake. Cars can be taken to the waters edge depending on the condition of the field. WHAT IS INCLUDED. Tea towels, all bed linen, electricity and fishing are included in the price. A highchair and baby’s cot can be provided, free of charge, on request. Outside through the double doors the veranda overlooks the top lake and has a table and six chairs, ideal for that end-of-day cold beer or gin and tonic! The lodges are exceptionally well insulated with double glazing and gas central heating with plenty of piping hot water on tap. Car parking is directly outside each lodge, with a ramp access to the main side door.
